Captain Jim

Hello, Sniffing around the Thor Outlaw 29J. We pull a mobile stage and perform at Fairs and Festivals and would like to have a Motor Home Toy Hauler to carry our Harley Triglide so we can have transportation when not performing. My mobile stage weighs 6000lbs. My Triglide Trike weighs 1200lbs. The 29J has a 8000lb towing rating. So that seems ok. But my big concern is will the Trike fit? Trike is 9 feet long with the wheel straight. I think the garage is 8'8" deep? So there is a chance it will fit even if I have to open the living quarters door, ha. Or pull the trike in at an angle. But then there is the angle of the ramp and chance of bottoming out when loading/unloading. Anyone have advice? Thank you.

Your towing capacity is GCWR - actual weight. Do confuse the hitch capability with the RV’s towing capacity. Also the GVWR is the max weight of the vehicle to include what you put in the garage.

Drive the trike to the dealers and see if it fits. If they want to sell a unit I can't imagine they would object since that is your goal for buying the unit.

What's the tongue weight rating on that hitch? 500 Lbs? Mighty light tongue weight for a 6000 lb trailer; less than 10%.
