Challenger peeps or anyone else

Does anyone know if Challengers come prewired for satellite TV?

Also, what is the little box located on the left side inside the cabinet above the microwave where the blue ray player is located for?
It has coax connection and a push button with a green light.

I have the 37yt and mine was prewired. The box might be your TV signal booster.

That is the amplifier for the TV antenna. When the green light is on the amplifier is on (e.g. you are watching over-the-air TV channels), when you connect up to the campground's cable you want to hit the button and turn off the light/amplifier (presumably you'll also want it off for satellite).

What connects to the coax connector on the box? Nothing is connected there presently.

Where are the connections for the dish outside and the inside connection? I was told at the dealer that it wasn't prewired. Of course, they also told me we didn't have Magnum autogen start, which we do, so I'm now checking all the systems for myself.

On some models that's where the tv would connect, but you have multiple tv's so they've split on the backside of there & ran to all of the tv's. If its like mine they also played hide/seek with the splitters & connected them wrong, the in was out & vice versa, so if you have poor signal to 1 tv that's where to start looking.

Satellite Connection

When we first got our Challenger GT, we had Camping World install a satellite dish. I had contacted Thor before and was told it was not prewired even though the literature said it was "Satellite Ready." Camping World confirmed this.

I should have checked it out myself. A year later I was going to replace the take vents and saw that I had three vents on the roof. One was in the middle of the coach roof. I asked Thor what it was for and they did not know. I took off the vent cap and there was a membrane stating it could be removed to access the wires to hook up a satellite dish.

So, the moral of the story is to look on your roof and see if there is an extra tank vent.

@SchoolTeacher - Interesting information, I'll be checking that out. Thanks for sharing and I'll report back on our 37TB.

We had a CW install our DirectTV windgard about 2 months ago. With ours the only "pre-wiring" involved the HDMI switch box being able to be used. We wanted to only bring one box from the house when we traveled so by CW going through this switch box one DirectTV receiver can be used on all three TV's. Other than that they had to fish all the wires from the roof down to everything else. I don't have a third tank vent showing on my roof.

I'm not certain I'm addressing your question, but it looks a lot like one I asked recently about our new '17 Challenger 37LX, and the answers were that the valve assembly for the waste tanks move. It didn't look like it to me, but sure enough, they easily move up/down so the 45 degree elbow (just one) lines up with the hole in the floor.

As a matter of fact ALL the YT models have that same problem. I have to return to the dealer to have a 12" hatch cut into the floor instead of that 5". Very bad design.
In the mean time, you can pull the drop pipe and valve towards you to make the hookup to drain. But you will have to have the compartment floor modification done same as I do.

They couldn't move mine to the point I'd have any clearance from the connector and the floor.
Thor says a new 12" access hatch must be installed.
I hope they fired the guy who designed that setup.

No kidding, that's ridiculous.

Should've had a 45 right as it comes out of the tank and a shorter pipe, and of course turn about 2" clockwise. Can't imagine what they were thinking.
