City water

We just purchased our 2021 Thor Hurricane 34r Coach. When we got to our campsite and hooked up to city water, our fresh water tank filled and was over flowing. My question is there a switch I am missing to switch from tank to city water or do we have an issue.

I am not sure about your unit but there should be a water control valve. Turn it to city water.

Your valve may look something like this.

I have the ACE and i haven't seen the city water filling the fresh water tank. Mine might be easy system. I would think a valve is stuck somewhere, letting city water flow to the internal tank. Years ago i tried to draw out the system schematic. got confusing quickly.

A valve stuck open in the pump can also lead to backfilling the tank

Take the screen off the pump and clean it

Some folks have to disassemble the pump to clear debris

And as already noted perhaps a valve position and possible the 4 way valve if you have one leaking

On my Tuscany I can run with both pump and city water or either by changing valves

Normally I run off the tank and only use city water on clothes washing day
