Coleman 12v solar batter charger

Just got my Coleman 10 watt solar 12-volt battery trickle charger in and installed it by placing it in the front windshield of our RV and pluging it into the cigarette lighter. I have the RV power set to STORE and the INVERTER off. Will it trickle charge the batteries or do I have to leave the INVERTER on? Read something about this charger is great for RV's in storage but can't find that article anymore.

Inverter off, and switch set to "Use".
I have a 20 watt panel hooked to my chassis battery, and it's been doing a fine job for two summers.

We are traveling now, and when we park at an RV campsite, plug in, have the auto refrigerator setting which is working fine, but the check light keeps blinking?
Also, I turned hot water switch on the 110, and no hot water, so I turned the hot water propane switch and got hot water. Do I have to use the propane only?
