Dimplex Fireplace

Has anyone had any issues with their Dimplex Fireplace? I have a 2016 Thor Tuscany XTE

What kind of issues? If you mean that it cuts off while your furnace is running on electric or maybe your dryer or some other item, it is because the fireplace is shed to allow the other item to run.

Currently fireplace will not shut off - must trip breaker. Got manual and it has very good information including parts list. Checked needed part online and it is about $40 from mfg. Will order and R/R when we get to FL.
When new we had a problem with thermal shutdown due to inadequate air flow - I fixed that by removing wood panel behind electronics.

Yep - it tends to shut off heater portion. If I shut off for a few minutes turn back on and then adjust the thermostat - it works correctly.

BigBen If thermal shutdown and not thermostat - it is not getting enough return air. To prove lift glass panel, remove screws and pull FP out a couple inches. Test operation to see if it still shuts down early. Dramatic improvement in heating and thermal shutdown can be done by A. pulling heater out 1/4 inch or so and drilling new screw holes. B. what I did - there is an enclosed shelf below countertop for electronics, with FP removed remove the rear wood panel to the electronics shelf. Just held on with a bunch of long staples. Creating an return air opening closer to the bottom of the FP would be better. I just could not figure out how.
