Exhaust smell from Generator- co2 were set off while away?

I have left the Rig on 2 occasions and ran the generator while away for a few hours each time.

When I returned both times my co2 alarms were going off.

The generator is on the driver side behind the driver seat and on the corner where my slide extends out.

I checked the system and it appears to be fine and no leaks but from the alarms sounding there has to be fumes coming into the RIG.

There is a seal over the top of the slide out that when extended would seal from the room squeezing on it however about 2 to 3 feet has become unattached from the screws breaking that holds that end in place. My first thought was that this seal screwed into the wall was not sealing and hanging down when the slide is out causing fumes to come under the slide awning and into the RV.??

Has anyone else had leaks they are concerned about and if so can you share what was the cause and what to look at more?

The generator is in the storage and does not extend or slide out. It has a chrome muffler extension and a 4000 wat gen.

2016 WS31 Quantum. One long slide on the driver side only.

Thanks

Ed

Are you 237% sure that you don't have an exhaust leak?

Plan is to check and recheck and get a meter to detect for a leak.

Not 237% sure yet !! But 300% sure we will not run while sleeping or in it without all the windows and ceiling vents circulating fresh air
