12 Volt Socket

After some advice from the forums and watching a few videos on YouTube, I’m going to try a small 300 watt inverter to just power small things such as a phone charging and my PC, however I’m not even sure where a 12 volt socket is located in a 2019 Thor Freedom Elite 26HE. If anyone knows please let me know, I’ve looked everywhere. Thanks

You should have on in the cockpit dash.... usually in the middle section. You can also add a 12 volt socket or wire the inverter directly and install an on/off switch.

If on the dash, does it pull from truck battery or the 12 volt RV battery? Thanks

Not sure but I think mine pulls from the "coach" battery. I know my radio works off of the coach (not the "chassis" = Ford engine battery)

Plug something and turn your store switch on the coach ON and OFF and see what happens.

On my class C 31W the dash 12V runs off the chassis battery.

And it's hot when the vehicle is off so I have to remember nit to leave a charger plugged in when storing.

My Freedom Elite 30FE has 2 12v sockets in the dash and one in the glove box.
I wanted a 12v socket in the cabin so I added one in the side of the cabinet in the entry door.

The power to the socket can be turned off (center switch) and on the right is two USB charging ports.

That's exactly what I bought for our 26HE. The wife has used it for her laptop. I recommend buying the 12 volt extension cord to go with it. If you buy the inverter from Amazon it'll be a "buy together" option that lists it for about nine bucks.

You should have two sockets on the dash.

Years ago I bought a 12V charger for a HP laptop. Cost WAY more than a small inverted for the regular AC charger.

In my 2018 Axis the power port (cigarate lighter) is connected to the chassis battery with a 30 amp fuse under the hood electrical box.
So I connected the 30 amp circuit to a 12 branch sub panel. Then branched from sub panel off to original power port. Then directly attached the inverter as well as 4 dual USB ports. I will try to include the pictures with this post.

The other area that I also installed a sub panel was to make the TV and entertainment center over the door run all on 12 volt.
So I will include the pict of it as well.
