Furnace Noise - Droning

Our 2017 Thor Axis has a droning noise from the furnace that we are not able to get fixed. The RV is new and we have taken it to the dealer three times so far. Whenever we take it in, the noise disappears - as soon as we use it away from the dealership, it reoccurs.
Very loud and annoying noise.
The technician thinks it is related to the exhaust pipe for the furnace.
Has anyone has a similar experience? Suggestions on how to fix?

Not sure what you are hearing but all the furnaces are rather loud. The exhaust will be almost as loud as the water heater on gas. Sounds almost like a jet engine roar.

I found on my Miramar the cover on the outside had one screw that needed to be tightened. It allowed the cover to slightly vibrate creating a sound that would reverberate throughout the heat ducts. You wouldn't really notice it until all was quiet at night. Took quite awhile to figure out the cause but eventually led to an easy fix...tightened the screw...problem solved.

Thank you!
I appreciate the information and we will check that on our RV.
We also contacted the furnace manufacturer, who gave us some things to check.
If they prove useful, we will post them.

Question Furnace Noise

The dealer contacted the furnace manufacturer and made some adjustments to the furnace.
Still very loud.
Anyone have suggestions as to a replacement furnace?
Tired of sleeping with ear plugs.

You mentioned the exhaust in your reply.
That was one of the things I am wondering about - whether it is the furnace or the exhaust that causes the noise.

Please let us know what you find...mine makes a loud screeching noise...not the normal "jet engine" noise we are accustomed to. It sounds almost as if the fan is scraping the shroud. I didn't get too excited about it as summer is here but it is something I need to look into before warranty expires and/or winter gets here.

Mine is just loud...
But since the furnace is actually putting out some heat when it is asked to do so: we'll learn to live with it!

My furnace is loud, not enough to wake me. It is louder than A/C. I would make sure vent is free from bug nests and covers are tight.

This our 5th RV. Every LPG furnace has been loud when running. It's the nature of the beast. It's not that much different from the gas furnace at home only there it's in the garage not right under you.

"under you"?
I'm staring at mine; when I'm laying in bed, and it fires up.

It's actually under the stove, a bit away from the bed.[emoji41] Even without my Hearing Aids i can hear it when it fires off. Been able to hear it roar on all of our previous RVs as well.
