My 2017 FW on E450 looked like this. Filling the gas tank was a pain due to constant shut offs. I adjusted the hose to take out the kink and now it fills fine 90% of the time. I still have problems at a few Pilot stations as well as some Mom-n-Pop stations. I don’t think it is my coach but either the type of nozzle they use or how the shutoff pressure is adjusted.

Kinked Fuel Line

That looks pretty serious kink in the fuel line. I took a picture of mine. Only a slight kink, but the vent line is open.

That much of a kink/flat spot in your fuel line is definitely going to choke off gasoline flow! The smaller vent tube looks okay.

It looks like the clamps are installed with screw for worm clamp against the floor, might be difficult to loosen and stretch hose out, eliminating kink. I will wrap some AL sheet around the hose and re-enforce.

I came up with a $2 dollar fix. Install a worm clamp on top of the hose kink spot, this will force the hose to assume a round dia, inside the clamp. Do not tighten clamp down, just use the clamp to form the diameter of the hose. This will clear the kink and is an easy fix.......

You may try just using a few plastic tie straps to avoid any abrasion issues.

Ok, i filled 14.75 gal of fuel, full flow, no nozzle shutoffs prior to being a full tank. Getting the kinks out of the fuel fill line to the tank was the fix. 14.75 gal in a few min. Used to take 30 min.

Whom ever it was that mentioned inspecting the fuel fill hose as it enters the tank for kinks, i appreciate it. This issue has been around for well over a yr.

Yes I had very same issues with a brand new
Thor F 550 chaise a very bad kink in hose
Had refueling issue from day one of purchase

You’ll have to redo the complete fill neck and hose
If the angle is wrong you’ll never get it 100% full

Another $50 fill today, no issues on the fill line, Actually the nozzle shut off automatically, first time in 2 years. Like a new toy that works. It's because of the trouble shooting dialog on these posts that got this whole fuel line kink fixed....

The way i got the kink out of the hose was to wrap the hose with a worm clamp and start turning. This will force the fuel line to a round dia. Not to much to compress the hose. Just enough to get it round.

This really should have been a recall notice. But from who?

I've never had an issue filling EXCEPT Pilot/FlyingJ. Those are hit or miss, and if a given location doesn't work, other pumps at that location also won't work (from experience). There's just something about them... Exxon, BP, Shell, Sheetz, etc. always work fine.
