That's not correct. Lighter GVWR F53 motorhome chassis show 19.5 inch wheels/tires on Ford specs, with higher capacity GVWR chassis going to 22.5 inch wheels and tires.

Before you bash Ford for the F-53 chassis, best to know Ford only supplies the dash, engine and transmission. Other parts are sourced and assembled by Detroit Chassis <http://www.detroitchassis.com/products/rolling-chassis/> under contract with Ford. It has been that way since 1998. The F-350, F-450 and F-550 stripped chassis and cab chassis are produced in the Louisville, KY truck plant by Ford workers.

Yes Goodyear replaced all six tires. The rims, alignment and drive shaft were all fine.
All the tires were out of round.

Depends on chassi weight rating, our 29M is an F53 and has 19.5.

I want to apologize if I seemed gruff. I was just curious as to what thor did with the 22 inch rims. Didn't want to start an argument. I thinkthis site is the most informative on the web for thor rv's. Again Sorry.

I guess I need to clarify. My ACE never came with 22 inch rims. The facility that diagnosed the shimmy problem said any ACE on the F53 frame should come equipped with 22 inch rims. He also suggested that any MH, the size of an ACE, with 19 Inch rims should be equipped with Michelin tires. He claims they are a better tire.
I knew Thor would never replace my Goodyear tires with Michelin's but would never contemplate replacing the 19 inch rims to 22 inch.
Luckily Goodyear did replace my 19 inch Goodyears with new Goodyears.

Hope this helps FRANKO
Luckily Goodyear
