Heat pump

We have a 2018 Thor Aria. When we turn our house batteries the heat pumps runs automatically even if we have it in the off position. To turn it off we have to turn off the house batteries.

We are very frustrated as we just got it back from the dealer who had it for over four months to repair the induction stove, water leak in bedroom slider, water tank falling through the bottom of the coach because the floor was rotted, basement storage bay floors are rotted out too, we are going to fix those ourselves as this repair dept at RnR RV handed us a bill of $9897 on a coach with less than 15000 miles on it. We are the second owners and have only been on three trips. SO FRUSTRATED PLEASE HELP WITH ANY IDEAS.

Heat pump? As in the Air Conditioner on the roof that runs off 120 VAC has a heat pump?

Or Furnace, which runs off 12 VDC and propane.

The A/C has may have a Heat/Off/Cool control as well as a fan On/Auto control. The thermostat gets it's control power from the 12 VDC buss; so if the fan control is set to ON, the A/C fan will turn on as soon as power is applied to the DC buss regardless of the Heat/Off/Cool control setting.

In other words:
Check your thermostat "fan" switch, button or controll.
The fan has 3 settings auto , high and low it must be set on auto! The fan will run if on any other setting.

Let us know how your trouble clearing goes

The Arias have a heat pump just like my rig has a heat pump generally on the front AC unit.

The advice above is correct about the fan settings. You have heat pumps in both AC units. On your Firefly main control panel, go to climate, then check the fan settings. Set them to auto. The floor problem is an issue your selling dealer should have caught before selling it to you. It is a known issue with our units. Sorry.
Mike

PS. Where are you in Washington?
