Electrical ACE 30.2

Hello,
I have a 2018 ACE 30.2. Do I need to have the power switch in on position ( located by the main door) to have electricity on the rig? Example! When the motor is on and the switch is off I can not even used the radio. The only way to used radio is with the main switch on. Is that normal?

That is normal. That is your use/store switch. It needs to be on for poete to the RV.

Thank you. Another question is. The only way to watch tv is with the generator on or plug in?

I'm not sure about the Ace but that seems normal unless it has an inverter. If it has an inverter, you can turn that on and watch TV.

No problem. I didn't realize I had to have the use/store switch on during part of my first trip. Couldn't figure out why the radio didn't work. There are lots of people on here to help answer your questions. Keep asking.

I'm glad to hear we aren't the only ones not realizing about that switch. We drove for a while thinking something was wrong with the radio. Yes, keep it in on as it runs any of the 12 v stuff. Amazing what they don't tell you when you buy these expensive things or it's so much on the walk through you can't remember. The TV doesn't work in motion. Unless you are lucky enough to pick up a satellite. Also, have you bought a satellite yet. We are trying to decide what kind.

I bought our Windsport used and it had a satellite mounted on top. I purchased a Wally Receiver and it works great...when it receives a signal. I have noticed that if you park in the shade, you will not get a signal. Then, you will use your antenna for OTA signals, or play a DVD. You could also get something like a Firestick and stream TV and movies, if you have good internet.

Most of the time we just can not get a signal on the satellite. If I did not have it already, I would not purchase.
