Ever since I purchased my new Hurricane, I thought that the remote for the dash radio was missing from my Thor "black bag". You can clearly see a little IR window above the AUX jack, but no remote was included to do anything with it.
However, I later discovered that the original IR remote control for this unit was discontinued by Jensen! So, Thor thought to NOT include a discontinued remote, so as not to confuse customers.
If you ever desired to have one, a substitute has been available on the Jensen Website since around March. It's the
REMJHD10CC. I ordered one and received it today. It works fine for basic functions like power, choosing preset stations, changing band, changing stations, listening to the weather band, and controlling volume.
