Hooking up satellite on Axis

Any problems with hooking up satellite? Finding control box?
Any modifications needed?

We have a 2015 vegas 24.1. In order to use our tailgater, we had to run a cable through the window in the kitchen area, up to the cabinet above the sink. That is where the hdmi cable for th 211 receiver was put in at the factory. There is a short flat cable you can buy just for this purpose. It allows you to close the window.
There is no control box in our motorhome.

The only "control box" on the Axis/Vegas units is the inline amplifier accessed at the back right above the shelf in the cabinet above the kitchen (same cabinet mentioned above where the HDMI cable is for the main TV).

You can do a search on this Forum re: satellite hook up and find some useful information. HappilyRetired has some really good instruction on the hookup.

Simangels, search for the thread "Portable satellite options for Axis/Vegas." Towards the end of the first page of that thread there is a detailed description of how to connect the cables, so you can use the outside connection for either cable or satellite. You will need to remove your microwave, but it is not difficult, and you will have a permanent hookup without going through a window!! Takes about an hour to do!! Let us know if you have questions!
