Hot water tank issues

Figured out that my microwave and electric hot water tank are on the same circuit. wow! Factory didn’t do that very well.

Anyway, the gas side of water tanks works fine, but if I flip the electric on, it won’t heat up the water. And if the microwave is plugged in (not being used) it kicks it off
For a few minutes and then it will finally comeback on after about three to five minutes.

Doesn’t kick the breaker to have to be reset so don’t think it is a weak breaker. I unplugged the microwave and put a tester in the outlet and it shows power until you flip on the water heater.

RV place we bought the MH (2103 Thor chateau 28Z) last July 2019 is no help.

I'd suggest you have a bad heating coil in the water heater. You could try disconnecting the power to it and ohm's checking it. Should be nearly a short.

Our gas hot water heater works well..Electric hwh does not heat. New unit so it is not an old burned out one. Any help appreciated.

It doesn't take but a few minutes with the Hot Water Heater turned on while empty to burn up an element.
The only way to tell if it is toast is to test it.
