How to quiet stove top
So I have a Thor Class C. But I am pretty sure the stove/ ovens are the same. So basically the metal pan just squeaks while you are driving basically metal and metal sound. The grill part has the rubber grommets to keep that from rattling it’s just the part that the grill sits on. Any ideas? Are there supposed to be screws somewhere to hold it in place? Thank you

Is that area exposed to any heat?
(I know: it's a stupid question... )
My thought: If you could just put a piece of tape ( maybe some that is heat-resistant) under those rubber pieces: it might take the squeak out of them.

I found that my stove was loose. It had a tab that was bent (It went under the counter to hold in place? That was a while ago so I dont remember where it was at exactly). So I loosened it up, realined it, then tighted down the screws. That took care of my rattle. Try some tape like Bob said. Or some flat rubber pads with sticky backs (cut to fit).

Okay thank you. I was wondering how hot that really gets and whether I could put some rubber pads underneath it. I will have to fit some heat resistant ones

Thank you... I know overall the coach will never be as quiet as my truck but just trying to eliminate as much as I can to make it a more pleasant experience for the family.

I also can find myself severely bugged, by the "little noises"...
So I turn up the radio volume!

Here's a thought. My wife uses silicone baking mats on some of the things she bakes. Buy a pair of these and cut to size. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-...-1-spons&psc=1

When on the road, we just lift the stove top cover and lay a dish towel over the grate, then close the cover. That stops the metal on metal rattling and makes things much quieter.

Actually there are supposed to be some runner u-channels on the bottom of the cover to prevent metal-to-metal contact but they cane be easily knocked off and lost.

noisy Stove rattles
As Sage said, we put dish towels under the stove top cover being sure they stick out on each side. Helps a lot. However, then we noticed another noise coming from the stove. Turned out it was the base unit rubbing against the counter top. I wedged a small piece of rubber drawer liner between the base and the counter. No more noises!

I will have to look at the base as well. The grill part actually doesn’t make any noise, I put in new rubber grommets at that quieted that. That’s when I noticed the bottom noise. Going to try the screw route this time and hopefully no noise the next trip coming up. thank you all for your ideas.

Hi Folks, talking about rattles etc. Found that some window seal one sided 3/4 inch foam tape from Lowe’s is great to have around (About 5/8 to 3/4 wide) … We don’t use our screen door at all and even with adjusting the door latch we had a rattle between the screen door bottom and the main door. A line across the bottom of the screen door and around the screen door latch, on the screen door btween the door, fixed the rattle and is not seen. Also worked fine on the latch on the kitchen worktop extension.

Well adding the screw worked, just got back from our Easter trip and the squeal was gone. That’s great which of course meant I noticed more noises to track down haha. Thank you to all for your suggestions

Stove squeaks and other noises
That is good news.
Anyone else have Axis/Vegas squeaks coming from the night shade or the large plastic molding between the windshield and side windows?
On some roads the noise drives me nuts. It is quiet on other roads.
