Alarm

I was bringing my Challenger 37yt back from the dealer after routine repairs today and after about 50 miles I had an alarm start beeping back at the control panel.
I pulled over and nothing was lit up, nothing.
I didn't have the inverter on. I only had about 5 miles to get home so I proceeded to be on my way.
The alarm stopped within a mile. Total time of alarm was maybe 5 minutes.
I didn't have the furnace or anything going.

Any ideas ?

Ps, the dash heater kept the whole coach nice and warm despite it being 29 degrees out.

The girl is put to bed in the pole barn for the winter before the snowstorm tomorrow.

Maybe your propane gas detector? Mine is in the rear mounted close to the floor.

That's the carbon-monoxide detector, if I am correct.

Typically dual function detectors in our rigs - carbon monoxide and propane in same detector...
They are mounted LOW for the propane side of things... It is a heavy gas and settles in normal air. CO detectors alone can be at any height - as CO mixes well into air.

Do you have a dog with you? Mine went off and I found that a dog order will set it off. I still travel with the dogs.

What the heck is a dog order? I have a dog but don't ever remember ordering anything in relation to him, except for him to stay put.

When my Gemini was new, the alarm in the bedroom kept going off. I would reset it, the next time I would check on it in storage it would be beeping again. I complained to the dealer it was defective and needed to be replaced. They checked it, discovered a slow propane leak, fixed that, no more alarm. That detector was doing exactly what it was supposed to, but I couldn't smell or detect any LP odor, so was convinced the detector was defective. Moral, don't be too quick to dismiss those annoying alarms, they just may be accurately detecting something that could endanger your life.

If I need to start a new thread let me know .....our 2016 ACE's propane detector started alerting this week. We have used the MH lots without this ever happening. It is mounted low on a bedroom wall just to the right of the door to the little hallway between the shower & the toilet area. It has only gone off when the shower is in use with that door closed. There is nothing propane being used (furnace either off or set so low it doesn't run, no pilot light on the stove, propane water heater off). It will eventually stop on its own. There is additional ventilation when it stops although usually there would seem to be sufficient ventilation before hand. Ceiling vent in bedroom is open and fan on a low or medium setting when it starts alerting. It does 6 beeps before a pause then 6 more beeps, etc. etc. The book says it is an LPG alarm if 6 beeps but it doesn't alarm any other time than when the shower is running. Any ideas?

Check for propane leaks, as I said in an earlier post, turned out I had a very slow propane leak, that I could not smell, but that alarm in the bedroom did.

Since you aren't using anything propane - turn OFF the propane at the tank - and take a shower... See if it still goes off...

Neighbor at RV park had one that would go off periodically - and we found a propane leak. Propane settles to ground - heavier than air (the reason those detectors are low) so you may not smell it at 'nose height' when it is going off.
