Thor Vegas Power issue?

I’ve gotten myself a little confused on my MHs power consumption. New to me 2015 Thor Vegas 30amp service. I have a little High Point brand microwave and a 15000 btu Dometic roof ac.
I have installed a progressive industries hard wired EMS..
First time out using the a/c at a campground, the EMS shut the power down due to low voltage < 104 v.. Running AC only. After moving onto the 3rd campsite, the EMS showed 110 volts and holding..Campground mgr claims it’s my problem.
So, my question is am I drawing too much power. What I observe at the EMS display is with nothing running I see a 5 amp draw..Why?
With the AC running I see a 21amps for the first few minutes and then holds steady at 17amps. When I run just the microwave I see 18 amps in the display.
How am I going to run everything on 30 amp service?
I read Mark J. Polks write-up on power usage and converter amp draws but I remain worried..
I can’t imagine Thor would design and build a MH that would require that I roast in the heat while I microwave my lunch. I can’t run both?

Like you, I have the Progressive Industries 30amp EMS hardwired into my rig.

Based on your description...everything on your rig is working fine
In fact...thanks to your PI-30 EMS, the shut down worked as it’s suppose to which saves your rig.

The 5a draw is your fridge + your Converter/charger. When fridge cycles off it’ll reduce 300watts (3a), and when the converter/charger completes the charge cycle the amp draw may drop even further.

Bottomline, the RV park’s electrical system is messed up.

One more thing...suggest you not run Air conditioner and micro at same time unless you have a “soft-start” on the AC.
That is, the initial AC surge is 20a and Microwave is close to 15a = 35a
Generally you’ll trip an internal breaker, not your PI 30 EMS.

I agree with taylorbob1 above. And yes Thor built it that way as are hundreds of thousands of motor homes.

If you want more power, install a 220V/50A system. It will cost you some bucks.

Thanks for the replies. I assume if I exceed 30amp demand in the MH, it is the external power source breaker that will trip?

Not necessarily...
If enough juice is flowing from the pedestal, then the EMS will function properly, but your internal breaker will trip.

It’s sort of a catch-all. That is, any one of the three may or may not trip.

And it sounds like the EMS might have shut you down due to low voltage instead of over current. But you’re right that it’s tight on a 30A rig. There absolutely are things that have to be sequenced. AC, microwave, coffee maker and other high current appliances all have to be considered. Fortunately few besides the AC are on continuously. One other item to remember is the water heater. It’s difficult to use it on electric during the AC season.
