Maceator Hose

I have a FloJet portable maceator that I've generally been using at home to dump and flush my tanks into a sewer clean out that is about 35 ft from the curb. I've been using two 20-ft lengths of the 1" hose that came with an old aspirating system I tried (extremely slow and my water bill went up by more than you'd think).

https://www.amazon.com/Clean-Dump-CD...gateway&sr=8-1

The 1" hoses work well for home, but are bulky and tough to handle as they aren't all that flexible. I'm looking at alternatives that I might be able to take with the rig instead of the usual stinky slinky. The 3/4" hoses I've looked at are pretty pricey, especially considering the investment I already have in the 1" hoses.

Has anyone used the expandable hoses or standard 5/8" garden hose with a FloJet with any success? I'm skeptical as they just look too small as I'm looking at 50 ft of hose

We use the 3/4" hose, but would like to see if anyone has experience with the expandable hoses..

By the way, don't you love your "flowjet"?

We use a black rubber 50' x 3/4" hose from Home Depot to pump out the tanks at home and it works great, wasn't expensive either.

Yes I do, which is why I'd like to dump the big hose and just carry the FloJet. I have an SAE 12 volt pigtail connector in the battery compartment but am looking at extending it to the wet bay so I don't have to drag out my 25 ft pair of 10 gauge cable to use the FloJet.

I found a 4 star rated 50 ft 3/4" hose on Amazon for $30. The hoses my local Lowes and Home Depot carry are $60-$70 for 50 feet, and they are special order. They only carry the 100 ft hoses. I'm getting real tired of going to Lowes to pick the simplest things only to find them out of stock or special order. Home Depot isn't quite as bad but I've had my share of bad luck there too. So I end up shopping at the Everything Store instead of being able to give the local stores my business.

I ran 8 gauge wire direct to battery compartment to the black/grey dump compartment and wired to the FLOJET connector. Put a breaker inline and screwed it to the side of the compartment. Also have the water intake for our TORNADO BLACK TANK FLUSH in the same compartment. Makes for a quick "dump" and "clean".

We bought two (2) 50' 3/4" hose at Harbor Freight for 19.99 each. They had 100' for 29.99, but thought two sections of 50' would be more versatile

But, like I said, have always been wondering if the expandable hoses would work, just hated to jump in and buy one.
