vegas manual

I am brand new to RVing, and just purchased a 2017 Vegas 25.2. I have tried several times to download this manual. After reading all the comments, it looks like something that any Vegas owner should have. If anyone can send me a pdf of the latest version I will be forever grateful.

What "same problem"? The link in the first post in this thread now works.

Here it is broken into two parts:

Water connections.

Thank you Col. Found in 2 minutes what I could not find in 2 days with Thor manuals. It had to do with the city water pressure check valve eliminating the need to “switch” manually from City to tank. Have pegged this as my go to manual. I am not a novice RV’er but different second hand rig takes some learning by trial and error.

We just bought our first, a 2015 Vegas 24.1 and we pick it up tomorrow. Your manual was so thorough that I feel like we are completely prepared. Thank you so very much for all of your work!

The previous owner of our 2015 Vegas linked me to this manual. This is just a thank you note, but sincerely, thank you, Col. Felker, for putting this together. The data and drawings are impressive, and the tips will be a big help to a guy that's always camped sleeping on the ground. My RV knowledge consists of remembering to close the car's trunk so the battery doesn't run down.

The Vegas Manual

Offgrid,
I had a small part with input of Ed's Manual over the years. It is a gold mine of ideas, information and fixes.
I am now a SOB (Some Other Brand) owner, but I do enjoy coming back here and looking around.
With that said the knowledge shared and imparted in Ed's Manual specifically - but also over all with this website - is heads and shoulders above what I have been able to find with my new Unit and the website there.
I wish you level roads, good weather and loads of fun with your Thor RV and here at Thor Forms.

Access to Engine

2018 24.1 Thor Vegas
ED's Manual on the Thor Vegas is great referred to it many times. It's been a big help. Can't find any where it addresses access thru the front grille to the Coach Engine. The grille moves out a small amount that is of no help. Does it have an accessible swing out or up hinge somewhere?
thanks for help

Bob -- the front grill when you unlock it on both sides should swing out a bit and then you should be able to swing it down. The pivot points do get tight and sometimes it's hard to move the front assembly down. Try lots of WD-40 to loosen up the pivot points.

rejohnson, I assume your 2018 grille swings/slides up, not down like earlier models. I agree that access is not great. I'd love a side swing hinge as well. Good luck.

Thanks for the this Axis/Vegas most detailed owner's manual. It is an excellent document and helped us not have to deal with Camping World service; we're not big fans of this company.

Thanks to Ed and Bev

Sitting through our 4th day of snow storm, I started looking through my list of items to touch up.
I have left the "Ed's" manual with our Axis in heated storage. Sooo time to print another one. BTW it is in a well used state.
Which brings me to this thread.

Thanks Ed for one of the best, user friendly manuals written for a motor home!

Note to ALL:

I had been using Microsoft One Drive to store my owner sourced manual that I compiled for Thor Axis/Vegas. Several people had problems downloading the file from the One Drive and had to contact me by email to get the manual.

In my migraine from Microsoft Windows to Apple.I have also stopped using One Drive and I posted the manual file in a shared form on my iCloud. I updated the first post in this series with the link to the shared file.

Here is that link as well:

Thanks Ed!

I’d like to add my appreciation to Ed for creating this manual and the many kind Axis/Vegas owners on this forum who patiently answer and re-answer questions from new owners. Ed’s manual and this forum were decisive in our purchase of a 2017 Axis 24.1 nearly 5 years ago. We’re still enjoying the heck out of it!

One of the Vegas/Axis owners here (ducksface) on the forum provided a description and photos to another new owners question on opening the hood. The question pertained to the upward opening hood on the 2018+ models. I added his explanation and photos to the owners manual I compiled from forum inputs.

The file on this post has been updated.

I too appreciate what Ed has put together and all the help here on the forum. I really enjoyed the tips section and used a couple of those ideas. Love thinking outside the box. Very handy manual to keep for a reference. Happy travels!!
