Shore power - batteries not charging?

We fired up the gen and the batteries went from 1/3 to full within a few minutes.

I’m now plugged into a 20a home receptacle with the gen off. Hughes autoformer is green so I know there’s power to the rig.

Checked the battery status and it went from full (while gen was running) to 1/3-2/3.

So it appears to me that while on gen I’m getting charged and on shore power I’m not.

Is it due to 120v 20a? Or is there a switch I should be looking for?

If u have a meter put it on 12v the check ur batteries the voltage plugged in should be around 13 v don’t trust a gauge if it’s not charging the voltage will be 12 volts or less

First - realize the indicator you are looking at is a simple voltmeter and can not tell you the battery status if running the generator or on SP - so no, your batteries did not go from 1/3 to full in a few minutes, the voltage on the DC buss went up due to the converter charging while the generator was running.

But if that same indication did not occur while plugged into SP then that is a good indication that you are not charging from the same converter, so something else changed as well.

It is NOT due to the 120 VAC 20 A circuit - if you use good adapters everything in your coach will see the 120 VAC including the converter. Do you have any other indication the coach is receiving 120 VAC? Like the microwave display is on or the fridge is not on GAS?
