F53 Chassis engine specs (7.3)

Curious, A friend is looking to buy an Entegra Class A and on the web site it states it has a 7.3 Cubic inch with 350 HP and 468 Lbs torque.
I came across an article in Car & Driver that states that the New Ford 7.3 has 430 HP and 475 Lbs torque.

BUT it goes on the say:
Arriving first in the Super Duty F-250 and F-350 pickup models, the new engine joins the 6.2-liter V-8 gas engine and 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel in the lineup. A slightly less powerful version of the new 7.3, rated at 350 horsepower at 3900 rpm and 468 lb-ft of torque at 3900 rpm, will be standard on the F-450 chassis cab, the F-550, the new F-600, F-650 and F-750 Medium Duty trucks, and F-53 and F-59 stripped-chassis models. Details on a special fuel-saving calibration will be announced later this year. Towing and payload numbers are pending.

The question is:
Is this still true (article was back in 2019) if it is, why would they put a smaller engine in such a large vehicle??

It is 7.3 liters, not cubic inches. That’s 445 cubic inches, making it larger than the previous V10 which was only 6.8 liters in size. It’s also more powerful than the V10 it replaced.

The motorhome 7.3L V8 is essentially the same engine as in SuperDuty pickups but is limited in power and torque to 3,900 RPM. Lower power ratings is common for heavier truck engines for various reasons including durability and fuel economy. Ford does it for their V8 diesel too, and Cummins for their pickup versus motorhome Diesel engine, etc. It’s nothing to worry about.
