Blower fan speed
Hi. I recently upgraded to a 2020 freedom elite 24 he. My question is the thermostat and blower speed. It seems no matter which speed ( low or high ) it seems to stay on high. I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue, and is there a fix? Thanks for your time. Jeff

You MAY have a problem or you MAY not be hearing the speed difference - it isn't much. I have to really listen to hear the difference on my A/C.

I've got the same thermostat and the same single speed fan
I've thought one of these days might open her up to see if the fan in the AC is two speed or not...and if so see if there's wiring to make it happen. Low priority for me though

I changed out my t-stat to digital. Has only one speed. Problem solved. I sleep better now. I run it on auto so I don't have to listen to it all the time.

Since the Coleman mach 3 and mach 15 have only two motors (compressor and fan) the low speed is approx 85% of the high speed. Any lower speed would seriously degrade the operation as the compressor's speed is not controlled. Newer designs like the Coleman mach 8 have three motors, so the evaporator fan is separate from the condenser fan and the unit is much quieter on low (ideal for the bedroom).

Maybe in time. Right now it's two weeks old

I have a sense whole house power meter so I have measured various electrical loads on my rv when plugged into my house. The high fan setting draws about 20 watts more power than the low fan setting. Its a bit noisier too. So really not much difference but it is measurable.

Ok. I understand. I'm ok with it, as long as it is a normal condition. My diminished hearing doesn't help either. Thanks for your reply

I am amazed that they still use 1950s technology thermostats in a 2020 model RV. With that old model, you'll see up to 5 degree temperature swings. Yeah! Too hot, then too cold, 10 min later. We purchased a Honeywell Programmable Backlit thermostat for about 30 bucks, along with a separate switch to switch from low to high speed fan. SOoooooo much more comfortabe
