Maintenance or Modification?

Can the battery cage under the steps of a '17 31L carry 200lbs or can you point me in the right direction?

I chose this section because it's structural.

Have you asked Thor for the structural diagrams to see how that area is constructed and what materials were used?

If it is, I'll give you the structural limits.
That low and potholes at speed will run the weight sky high for parts of a second.

I haven't. Didn't know there was such a thing and I'll contact them. If it's something worthwhile, I'll share it.

pretty sure my battery frame is just a couple of angle iron beams
of course I don't know the grade of steel

I crawled underneath when she had two and wondered if it would hold 4. It has 4 now and wondering if maybe I missed a detail in the plan - major one. I will find someone to fab a new one if that's what it takes. This 4-banger battery bank has been working out great. Solar has to follow.

They do exist and Thor sends them upon request. You can’t share the diagrams without Thor’s express written permission. They are copyright proprietary material.

Go to Thor's owner's resources page, create a login and put your VIN in. You'll be able to download a bunch of stuff from them (including diagrams).
