Winter storage

I found that the chassis battery in my Axis 25.6 is wrapped in a battery blanket. I’m storing it outside with no access to power. Do I have to remove the battery?

Not if you keep it charged up. Do you remove the battery in your car?

We never remove our battery.
Solar keeps all charged
Good luck

Not sure what a battery blanket would accomplish, but temperature is not the issue... keeping the battery charged during storage is a MAJOR issue.

If you can't provide a reliable constant charge (such as a trickle charge/battery maintainer, or solar panel) your battery will drop below a useable charge if not driven... at minimum maybe once a week - like a passenger car.

All good advice...but...if you're not.close to the coach and/or don't want to bother with keeping a regular eye on it, just remove them...chassis amd coach. Be aware, you will still need to exercise the generator monthly if you want it to survive. You could always carry a jump start setup with you for that.

When I first bought my RV I had the Dealer install a Cutoff Switch that I bought on my Chassis battery. I don't have extended storage concerns as you do, but if I did, I would simply turn that switch off, and call it a day. I have used the switch a few times, but mainly for security and or troubleshooting where I did not have to remove cables off my battery.

My Use/Store switch for House Batteries when in Store has ZERO draw, I have gone a month trying to get the batteries to drain but everything is OFF. I drive my RV somewhere at least once a month year around winterized or not.
