Need Axxera AVM111NAV GPS Micro SD Data

Hello all. My coach did not come with the 8GB micro SD with the GPS maps. Is there anyone out there who can/is willing to pop theirs out and copy the data onto a shareable platform (DropBox, OneDrive, etc.) so that I can grab it?

Thanks in advance!

Are you still looking for the maps data?

I can copy it for you. I happened to see this while I had my unit out messing around with it.

Yeh, I had an uncle like that.

The cards are available on eBay and Amazon.
For $16 bucks the op should buy one instead of pirating.
I'm not sure this site can stand up to an 'implementing piracy' letter.
I suggest Sygic truck. I just bought a card for an old windows ce map.

(and it's a 10month old thread with no follow up.)

Welcome to the site. You'll find us all pretty helpful.

Why the unit playing with? Anything we can suggest?

Aahhh you got me. I'm still laughing. Good point on the pirating; the dealer should still be coughing that one up. I'm winterizing, but we've been frustrated with the Axxera so I've been researching and it sounds like the issues we're having are just what it is (lag on video for turn signals, audio muting when you signal, GPS generally sucks). I'm a "take it apart and figure it out" kinda gal, so there I went. I didn't pull the whole system out, just the face so I could see how easy this might be to just swap out. Seems pretty straightforward if I can find what I want to replace it with. Any suggestions? We are a little disappointed that Thor would put a ~3 year old system into a brand new RV.

Personally, I like this unit:
Eonon android 9.0 10.1" rotatable, slide able, tilt able screen.
Amazon.

Full on Android,it does all the apps I've ever used except iExit. The picture is it showing a radar weather map that follows your location called radarnow. It does Google maps, waze, Sygic, topomaps, any map you want that's available for Android.
And
It did away with that awful lag I had in the side cameras. They're immediate now. It added an odd feature I hadn't had before: If I touch the brake it goes back to the rear camera if on side cam, release the brake and it goes back to side cam. So, a tap of the brakes gives me one last rear view before I change lanes.

Mine was $149 in a beat up box, I think they're under $250.
You caught me down in the barn, so I took a pic for you.

Awesome! Did you install it yourself? Were you able to use the same DIN or did you have to replace the sleeve too? I'm an Android user to so this is perfect.

DMorg, THANK YOU! Please let me know how i can get to the data. Don't worry about copying a card for one person. No one is concerned about that. Well, I guess one person is.

ducksface... I would be more than happy to buy a maps pre-loaded SD card on Amazon (not eBay). Can you post a link, because I can't seem to find it? Please make sure the seller is Thor or Axxera, not some random person/company that is simply copying cards and selling them, since that is piracy.

It uses the standard double din.
I didn't install it myself.
Install was $125 at a stereo place.
I could have done it myself but the axxera didn't use the now fairly well standardized plug-ins,and I wasn't in the mood for splicing 20 wires in a confined space.

I thought I could tolerate the screen freezing, the unit rebooting itself, or just going solid green (requiring a hard reset). I figured I’d just add the nav data and see how it goes. Well the screen release tab on the back must’ve broken a tab or the spring slipped off, because when I went to snap the screen back on it wouldn’t click into place. I gently added a bit of pressure and... wait for it... cracked the screen. This is the type of screen that if cracked, the touch ability goes dead. POS

I was overjoyed to find a Pioneer replacement for $300. It has CarPlay and so much more than the old off-brand Axxera trash Thor uses. The screen is a little smaller, but it’s just beyond better. Installation was a snap.

Did it mount onto the same connectors as the Axxera? What was involved in installation, and do the cameras still work? Is there still a huge lag in the turn signal cameras? Sorry for all the questions.

The Axxera has a wiring harness, and the Thor folks brought all the coach wires into the other side of the 12 pin plug.

The Pioneer did not come with a wiring harness, just raw wires, because they don’t know what it’s being installed into. The color coding of the wires is standard and labeled. So I simply cut the coach side plug off and went wire to wire. It was easy.

After wiring it up, I reused the sleeve from the Axxera. It’s a standard double din size, as is the Pioneer. It slid right in. I only needed to drill one hole on each side to add the screws to hold the new Pioneer in place.

The three camera systems runs into a switch box, which controls which camera signal to feed into the radio. It has the turn signals and reverse already in it. The output is a single RCA wire. This was already in place from the factory. The RCA plugs right into the “video in” on the back of the Pioneer.

Everything still works.

There is no noticeable difference in the signal speed to me. One plus is that when you use your turn signal, the video feed from the side camera comes in, but it doesn’t cut out the audio. That was so dumb.

No worries on the questions. That’s what these forums are for!

Last note, there’s a little black bezel that was stuck to the Axxera; I hardly noticed it. Today I popped it off and although it sort of fits on the Pioneer, it’s not quite right. I found one on fleaBay for $4. We’ll see how that goes.
