Netflex

Anyone else tried this. Setup phone as server hotspot. Connect tablet wirelessly to phone hot spot. Watch movies on Netflix. Works like a charm as long as you have phone service. I have art and works fine at campground r Shafer in ga.

Certainly works... just watch your data usage - unless you have an unlimited data plan...
(Not all providers allow you to run a hotspot either...)

If your 'unlimited plan from Walmart' is Straight Talk - it is a violation of their Terms of Service to use 'tethering' or 'hotspot' functions:
Quote:
STRAIGHT TALK UNLIMITED PLANS CANNOT BE USED FOR: ANY APPLICATIONS THAT TETHER YOUR DEVICE TO A LAPTOP OR PERSONAL COMPUTER OTHER THAN FOR THE USE OF WIRELESS SYNC.
While Straight Talk does offer their own 'hotspot' devices - there is nothing unlimited about them - you pay by the GB used.

If you get their attention with your data use - people have reported data restrictions up to service termination (phone rendered useless, number lost, and remaining time lost). Use at your own risk...

(Of course if it's not Straight Talk - and the provider allows it - watch all you want... )

If you have T-Mobile, they now have their "Binge-On" feature. With it you can stream video from some providers to your heart's content without impacting your data plan or hitting a data cap.

Setup your smartphone as your hotspot, (plug it in to a power supply).

The providers supported as of today, (they keep adding more every week):

A&E
Amazon Video
Crackle
CuriosityStream
DirecTV
Encore
ESPN
Fandor
Fox News
Fox Sports
Fox Sports GO
fubo TV
FYI
Go90
HBO GO
HBO NOW
History
Hulu
Kidoodle.TV
Lifetime
Lifetime Movie Club
Major League Baseball
Movieplex
NBC Sports
Netflix
Newsy
ODK Media
Playstation Vue
Showtime
Showtime Anytime
Sling Box
Sling TV
Starz
Tennis Channel Everywhere
T-Mobile TV
Univision Deportes
Univision NOW
Ustream
Vessel
Vevo
VUDU
WWE Network

A couple of things to note about Binge-On:
