New slide rack and pinion system?

At the Houston RV Show a couple of days ago I saw a few brand-new motorhomes that had slide drives a little different than the typical Schwintek rack and pinion. I should have asked the salesman who made it but didn't -- could be a new version of Schwintek for all I know.

The salesman said it was made so the end of the rack could be disconnected from slide room so that the entire slide could be easily pushed in manually in case of slide drive failure. He said the slide room was on bearings that made it easy to push manually. He did show me how the rack at end is pinned to slide so it can be disconnected.

Have any of you seen this design? Or know who makes it? It's the first time I noticed it. Any initial thoughts versus normal Schwintek rack that is affixed permanently to slide room?
