Leveling jacks & slides class C 29h Outlaw

Recently went to a campsite & spoke to 2 class C owners parked on cement pads. They extend the 29h single slide without lowering their jacks & have done that for a long time. They just are super diligent making sure RV is level before extending slide. Here's my question: Do jacks Have To Be Down to extend the single 1/2 wall slide on the 29h Outlaw???

Yes and no..... The dealer that you bought the coach probably extended the slide without extending jacks. The jacks also stabilize the coach while you are in it anyway. You have auto jacks, why not extend them? It only takes a push of a button.

When actively using the RV, I have the jacks down - before deploying the slides.
Partly for the slides... Partly for the general stabilizing. (DW notices when they are not down...)

I never deploy/retract jacks with slides out.. the twists and torques as they move can't be good for open slides.

At home, I have opened slides with jacks up while on driveway... For loading/unloading...
To me not an issue if flat and reasonably level...

But with auto jacks so easy to use, I wouldn't camp in it without them.

If the slide is going to be moving: I'm gonna make sure that this cat has all of it's paws on the ground first!
