Truma versus Girard...

Does anyone in here have any experience with the Truma tankless hot water systems?
They're more money than the more familiar Grard: are they worth it?

I believe the Truma's are more frequently used in the smaller class-B units (as they make a combination furnace/instant water heater in a very compact unit).

Thanks! We're looking to "trade-up", and the Truma is optional... They say that it's a "direct replacement" for the Girard that comes standard in that particular coach.

We have a SOB that came with the Girard, we were pleased with it but our mfg decided to start installing the Truma now and they even upgraded ours for free at a rally we were at. I will say the Truma is a better unit in my opinion and if given the choice I would pick the Truma.

LOL I remember those days: Just get a coach and go to an RV show "wow this one is better perhaps we can trade up". Went through 3 different coaches in about 5 years back then

dblr,
Thanks for the personal recommendation! We're getting the paperwork for it started today...

I am sure you will be pleased with it, I know they use to require the installation to be done by them but not sure now. Their techs installed mine at the rally and even told us to fill the warranty card out right then and give it back to them and they upgraded the warranty to 2 years

Agree. He always asks others for photos of their new rig. Why has he not posted photos of His New Rig? The BIG question... Is he still on Thor Forums or SOB Forums??

You make it sound so tempting...

But our Dealership is only about 10 minutes from where "The Kid" lives, and she's got her heart set on a Pre-Wedding visit...
(Next Sunday: he ties the knot!)

As "another one bites the dust...and another one goes, and another one goes, and another one bites the dust" plays on the radio

He's happily "Marching into Oblivion..."

Truthfully: she seems like a real sweet kid, and she makes him happy!
