I spoke with some RV Industry folks at an RV show where the Outlaw 38re was introduced. It was the general consensus that it was more of a design concept that accidentally made it to production, than an actually planned design.
It's a toy-hauler motorhome that CANNOT haul toys, and they really didn't expect it to catch on. Many little design details, like the door, materialized very quickly from the ether. Napkin drawings, and spare materials come to mind.
Who would have thought that people would actually like crazy tall bedroom ceilings, and a rear fold down patio deck to relax on?
Later production models will eventually iron out the wrinkles.
