Overhead bed

When I raise the bed to its full height the left side drops about an inch or two. I have tried to resynch the motors in both the up position and in the down position. I've done the resynch by holding the button until the motors time out and then push the button a couple of times. I have reset the controller by doing the push 6 times and then hold in both the up and the down position. But to all my travails, as soon as I remove my finger from the control, the left side droops. The bed travels all the way up to the ceiling, the motors time out, but then it droops on the left side. It takes two people to put the safety pin in, one to run the bed up and one to be ready to insert the pin as soon as the bed stalls at the ceiling. Any ideas?

On my ACE the bunk is held up by magnets. When you bring the bed all the way up the magnets will latch the bed into place. If I let off the switch a little too soon, I have to push the push the bed up the rest of the way. When putting the bed down the actuator pushes the bed frame off the magnets allowing the bed to move to the down position.

Not the same bed mechanism as the OP's RV.
