Problem with Hydraulic Slide and Jacks

Hi We have a 2014 Tuscany Coach. Stored indoors plugged in for the winter. We are unable to get hydraulic slide to extend, as well as the hydraulic jacks. We did the reset procedure for the jacks (pressing the 4 buttons at once) but it didn't help.
We replaced all 4 house batteries, now we lost all inversion and have no power at all. We are 100% sure batteries are installed correctly.
Can anyone help?

I'd grab a voltmeter and start checking things:
  • Power at the batteries
  • Power at the slide controller/switch(es)
  • Fuse(s)
  • Slide circuit breakers
Given that you just changed the batteries I think you can reasonably think the problem is electrical.

If you have no power, either the batteries are not connected properly, the battery disconnect switch is off, or there is a huge circuit breaker somewhere that got tripped.

Most Thor units use a disconnect switch actuated with a solenoid. You may simply have to turn it on.

If you have 4 batteries they should be hooked up in series/parallel if they are 6V batteries, or all in parallel if they are 12V batteries.

For 6v batteries, they will have two sets of batteries in series (6V + 6V) and both of these sets will be in parallel.

For 12V batteries, the only choice is to connect them in parallel to maintain 12V.

This of course assumes you have a 12V system.

Ok how nuts...we have the exact problem jacks are dead and large slide won't go out 2014 Thor Tuscany...RV used frequently and always stored inside. We were just told the hydraulic motor died...this is after checking that the main breaker wasn't thrown, and the solenoid had power.

Called Thor (wonderful customer service rep) is shipping new motor to the park where we ar e located.

Unsure how/why it happened still??? We had just used it a couple of weekends before with no issues.

Hope you get the problem fixed. Seems unusual a motor would go bad like that.

Hydraulic Fill Location for Tuscany

I have a 2013 Tuscany 45LT. Can you direct me to where the fill is for the slide-out hydraulics? I had a small leak while it was in storage and want to make sure it is properly filled. I have crawled all over the coach for other issues, and never run into the hydraulic motor/tank. Thanks
