Question on using 30Amp outlet for 50Amp Motorhome

We have a 50Amp Class A Motorhome. I know we can use an 30Amp to 50Amp RV adapter. My question is if I am using a Progressive Industries EMS-PT50X Surge Protector, will that throw in an Error Code (if I plug in my 50 Amp Outlet to the Adapter, then to the 30Amp pedestal)?

The CG we have a reservation for 6 nights only have a 30Amp Full-Hook up available. I have only done this once, without using my Surge Protector for an overnight stay. I know we will have to use only 1 AC and watch our electric load consumption.

From the horses mouth
NOTE: Provided you have the proper adapter, the EMS may be used with 15A, 20A, 30A
or 50A service and will provide full protection. The power should be limited to the lower amperage rating of the power source and RV. The circuit protection at the power source and the RV are the current limiting devices.

Thank you very much for that information. That is what I am hoping for.

I use mine although I try to avoid 30amp sites especially in the Summer

No issues with using it

Rarely do I not see low voltage on 30-amp sites

What I have seen the past several years is more sites with 50-amp availability and meters for what they consider overage
