Radio will not power up

We’ve had the 2018 Thor freedom elite 24he a few months and it has been a wild ride and not in a good way. Good thing my trip is a week away. The radio and backup camera will not power up. I called Thor and they said the fuse is inline near the battery. Is this true? I took a look and did not see it. I read posts that say it behind the radio. Help! Husband is deployed and do NOT want to tell him or ask him for help.

First thing not sure which RV, you have. It helps to post that with your questions so we have an idea which systems you have.
Check your battery use/store switch, make sure it's in the, USE position. It should be near you other switches, like lights, awning, etc.
We went thru a similar situation with our Challenger the second night out. I had switched it to STORE, shutting off all 12 volt electric to the dash !

I have a Quantum RQ29 and it works the same way. I found that out on the drive home from the dealer.

Thank I added the unit I have. Do you mean the main power switch? That turns on the house lights?

Exclamation

Very common problem with a lot of the Axxera radios.

Look very closely at the frame of the radio for a tiny unmarked reset button. Press it with a paperclip or toothpick, and the radio may come alive. The button is about the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen.

Mine does the same thing often; I'm awaiting a solution from Thor.

And....Welcome Aboard, and thank you and your hubby for your service!

There should be a separate switch that puts your batteries in Storage, or USE !
What RV do you have ?

It might look a little bit like this:
(The "Use/Store" switch is the very first one in the panel on the far left...)

Thank you I have a freedom elite 24he. It’s a small one. Doesn’t have a use/store switch. I’m going to take to a place that does car radios to change the fuse. I can’t do it. I’m afraid I’ll void the warranty if I try to take it apart

I tried that yesterday. It still is out. Thor is not helpful when you call them either. I’m going to take to a radio place and have them change out the fuse. I can’t I’m afraid I’ll break something. Thor told me I should have a tool to get the radio out, but nope I don’t.

Thank you, sir!!

Thanks for the post Popfla. Didn't know there might be a reset button. I'll have to look at mine just in case the same thing happens to me.

Same trouble with Freedom Elite 26HE

Hi, we had the same trouble with our Freedom Elite 26HE. We were not able to figure out where this fuse was and finally took it back to the dealer and they reported it was a jump fuse. They got us up and running again and also found that our awning lights were never connected. The fuse to the radio/back up camera is located in the doghouse (between the cab seats).

I'm not sure if you have the same model radio as mine in my 2018 Palazzo, but when I had that problem it was due to the removable radio face plate not being fully seated. I pressed the face removal button on the top edge, removed the face plate then firmly reinstalled it. The faceplate tilts out at the top and has locating tabs at the bottom.
I hope this helps.

Just a note to say Thank You for explaining about the Battery Store/use button. We were traveling into our Thor Four Winds 31w towing our jeep and the radio and camera stopped working. We were stumped - checked fuses, connections, etc. After searching the posts here, found similar complaints and tried the switch. Bingo. All good now! Thanks.
