Radio won't Turn On

I took out our house battery for our Thor Class C Ford E450, year 2015, and when I put it back, I had the terminals switched and I blew fuses. I replaced the 40 amp fuses. But my radio/back-up camera does not turn on now.

The stow house battery switch is on and the house battery is working for other things but not the radio. Also, I hit the "reset" button on the radio, but still is not working.

Any suggestions on how I can get this to work? Thanks!

There is a fuse on the back of the radio. In order to get to it, the dash will need to be disassembled and the radio pulled. I had this very same thing happen to me on my 2015 Four Winds. I took the rv to an audio shop and watched as they replaced the fuse. It took them about 20 minutes.

Hi -- We replaced the fuse behind the radio and it is still not working.

Not sure if what to do next...if the radio is shot, does anyone know where we take it to get fixed or a new one put in? An RV dealer or audio place?

If it's an Axerra I would go to audio shop & get another brand.

There should be a inline fuse, wired off your use store latching relay. It is for the keep alive power.

Audio place. They can verify if the radio is good or not and can certainly install a replacement radio very easily.

I was going to post about the reset but you already did that. Sorry about your problems.

On 0ut 2017 thor axis 24.1 there is an inline fuse for the radio. It is on the driver side of the engine compartment. Ours also blew last year and it took a lot of time to find this. It is the black circular tube with the yellow wire running into it. Try that.

Just as a side note to help not mixing up the terminal, I used magic
markers and did the positive terminal in red and the negative in
black.

Thanks for the suggestion...could you tell us where the inline fuse, wired off your use store latching relay is? We see one fuse box in the back of the motorhome in the bedroom. Thanks!

If you have a voltmeter you could check the power feed going to the radio. If it is hot and the radio wont work most likely the radio circuitry is fried.

My 2017 Miramar, has two hot wires to the radio, one fuse is in the fuse box and the other is in line by the house batteries,
