Rear Camera image quality poor

I have a new Vegas 25.3 with the Axxera AV615BHM radio. The image quality on the rear camera is pretty darn poor. Can't find any instructions on how to adjust the image on the camera alone. If I reduce the brightness and contrast on the radio the camera image is improved but we can't hardly see the radio. Does anybody the same problem and/or know how to fix it?

Thanks,

Curt

Check if the camera lens is dirty. I have rear vision on my Toyota trunk and image gets distorted easily with a little dirt on it.

When I dumped the Axxera for the Pioneer, I gained a clearer camera image AND a reticulated display. The latter helps determine distance. The wide angle camera makes it difficult to determine distance.

When we did our pre delivery test drive I told the salesman that I was not satisfied with the rear camera picture . It was very grainy and the picture quality sucked .
When we got back to the dealership the salesman mentioned it to the tech that did the pre delivery inspection and prep , he said that he had noticed it too and had a new camera on order for us.
Hope the new one is better. Side view camera video display is not the best but is still very helpful , If they can get the rear view at least as good as the side view I will be satisfied .
I believe there will be a radio upgrade in our future ....

Camera and display on my Windsport is horrible too. I went in to the settings and made adjustments, better, but still not good. Camera does not compensate for changes in brightness and is worthless at night with headlights from the rear, screen washes out to total white. I would like to change to better system, just not sure what. Also can't see display at all with sunglasses on!

What did the Pioneer, including installation, cost you?

The radio was $600 and installation was $175. I am a techno and wanted the better camera image, the reticulated display, and Apple Carplay. It also supports Android auto. I love this radio. So it was worth it to me. I plan on spending a lot of time behind the wheel.
