RecPro Warranty

In the Fall of 2018, I bought a Charles 67" double wall hugger recliner. It worked perfectly for about 18 months, then the left back cushion started splitting. I tried to patch it, as you can with auto vinyl, but it continued to peel. On Feb 12, I contacted Cassi at RecPro customer service to see about purchasing some replacement cloth or a new cushion. Cassi stated if I would send her a photo of the peeling, she would see about replacing it since I was only 4 months out of warranty. The new cushion arrived the Feb 26th and I instilled it the next day. It matches perfectly. A very happy customer.

My seat backs started peeling and I was out of warranty by 2 months. First call the rep said I was out of luck and could buy 2 new backs for $150 each but they were put of stock. Was told to call back in 2 weeks

Well I called back and no shipment arrived but this rep said no problem they have extras for warranty replacement and since I was just past warranty she would honor it anyways. Got the seat backs a week later

I like to hear that some companies still value customers, but does great customer service make up for poor quality products?

It all depends. Would you spend $4000 to get a 100% perfect product with a lifetime guarantee or spend $1200 for a same product of less quality with a two year guarantee? I remember days when the hardware store sold 4 100 watt incandescent light bulbs for $0.99 with no guarantee or $10.00 for 4 bulbs with a lifetime guarantee. I have some tools that are Snap-on, some Craftsman and some from Harbor Freight. Sometimes less quality is good enough for my purposes.
