Easy fix to get TV/dvd to work while driving?

Hi!
I’m a new 2019 Thor Four Winds 23u owner. I didn’t realize the tv/dvd player wouldn’t work while driving and I’m wondering if there’s an easy fix...we are planning a long drive with the kids and it would be helpful. Also, how about a fix for getting the outlets to work too while driving. Some kind of inverter?

Yup! It's time to add an inverter...
Get yourself a 1000 watt pure sine wave version, and tell the shop that installs it exactly which outlets you want it to power.

The "fix" is run your generator and use an extension cord from a different outlet to power the TV. The TV's receptacle is locked out "for safety" when the vehicle is in motion so the driver doesn't get distracted.

Not in our 2016 Vegas....Just run the generator, turn on the TV and DVD Player and you are set....I’ve never had to unplug the TV and or DVD and plug into a separate extension cord while the RV is in motion.....

But many others have.

Thanks for the info! I know there is some kind of ignition cut off wire somewhere. I’ve been reading up on cutting the wire for an easy fix. Does anyone know or have any insight on this? The tv/dvd seem to be hard wired.

You could also use a basic inverter that plugs into a cigarette lighter receptacle and plug the TV/DVD into that, so you don't have to run the generator.

Possibly, but you need to make sure it's powered by the chassis battery, OR;
if powered by the house batteries that they are charged by the alternator when the engine is running.
