RV wont start

2015 Thor Four Winds will not start. Turn key and the engine doesn't turn over or even try to turn over. This has been somewhat of a progressive problem, it began about a month ago but the RV would eventually start after turning the key three or four times. Just got back from trip this weekend and had trouble starting yesterday to leave. Back home in driveway and it will not start at all. The house voltage seems to fluctuate when running on just batteries going from 12.8 to 10.2 then back to 12.6-12.8 for a while then will fluctuate again. Are the problems related? Thanks in advance for the help.

Jude, I have the exact same problem. 2015 Super C on a Ford F550 diesel. I know how to fix the issue when it happens, but do not have a permanent fix. What I do is unplug/plug/wiggle one of the connectors on the steering column - works every time. Tried cleaning the connectors, using copious amounts of dialectic grease and am stuck with a temporary solution.

Did you ever get your issue fixed? If so, what was the solution?

Ermm, lots of ideas there, but the OP never confirmed whether or not any of those ideas addressed the problem.

It can be really helpful when folks tell us "The rest of the story".
They'll be helping out other folks who find themselves in the same situation.

Problem doesn't seem to be getting worse or better - frequency of the problem seems to have leveled out, and it's always been able to be restarted after fiddling with the connector for a short time (sometimes immediately, sometimes after a minute or so).

That has GOT to be frustrating...

If the chassis battery voltages are good, and its not the starter or solenoid, could the BCM be disabling the start processes, for some valid, or invalid reason?

Sorry for the delayed response to the problem. The issue was a bad starter relay switch. Changed it out with a new one from auto parts store for about $12 and has worked fine since.

Was a bad starter relay switch in the fuse box under the hood. Cost about $12 at auto parts store. Bought an extra just in case.

Thanks. That ended up being the problem here as well.

Do either of you have a part Number? Sounds like it would be worth carrying a spare.
