What I don't get are parks that have ENCODED cable system (like at Fort Wilderness). Thatr's because the Seiki digital tuner does not contain QAM. Just because you can't scan a QAM system does not mean the TV's tuner is not digital. It means it is not QAM compliant.

If you get cable channels in the format xx-x or xx.x you have a QAM (digital) Tuner. Pre-QAM cable tuners were analog and gave you cable channels just like the old OTA analog channels, in fact (as I recall) the frequencies for channels 1 - 13 were the same for both OTA and Cable, it was just the upper cable frequencies that were different.
Encrypted cable requires either a decoder cable box or the capability for the TV to accept a Cable Provider cable card to decrypt the signal so it is view able.
