I would say moving forward the Seki's should be receiving cable channels. If not, check your manufacture date on the rear of the TV

Also how and where is it connected for all 3 Tv's to get cable at RV Parks where I cant now get it.
For what TVs cost these days you are a lot better off simply replacing the TVs--can probably get a decent TV for what the converter alone will cost.

But what can you do with a "Suckee"; once it's ben cut loose?
They'd make a very messy target, a lousy serving platter, and an even worse paperweight!

Probably an OK computer monitor.

Why didn't I think of that?
This is why you're so smart... and I ain't!
At least I can compensate for my lack of brains, with an incredible lack of self-censorship!

In my 2018 they are now using Axxera tv’s. I have had no issues getting cable channels as I did either the Seiki’s.

Upnyfolks - you are correct. My MH was labeled wrong. When the campground tech check our signal it was good to the TV once we turned the booster light OFF. But the TV would still NOT pick up any channels. So now what? Three new TVs?

My Seikis (one above entry door and one exterior) receive digital channels on many RV park cable systems. I consistently scan and get channels identified as XX-X. That means the Seikis I have digital tuners.

What I don't get are parks that have ENCODED cable system (like at Fort Wilderness). Thatr's because the Seiki digital tuner does not contain QAM. Just because you can't scan a QAM system does not mean the TV's tuner is not digital. It means it is not QAM compliant.

If you get cable channels in the format xx-x or xx.x you have a QAM (digital) Tuner. Pre-QAM cable tuners were analog and gave you cable channels just like the old OTA analog channels, in fact (as I recall) the frequencies for channels 1 - 13 were the same for both OTA and Cable, it was just the upper cable frequencies that were different.

Encrypted cable requires either a decoder cable box or the capability for the TV to accept a Cable Provider cable card to decrypt the signal so it is view able.

QAM is the signal modulation used for digital TV. Several TV manufacturers, not just Seiki elected to stop providing QAM tuners as most cable providers were encrypting the signal and requiring a "box' to receive the signal. Problem is when RV parks provide the unencrypted digital programming that now requires a QAM tuner.
