Sidewall Failure

I have a 2018 miramar 35.2.
When we went to retract the full wall slide there was a loud noise so i stopped moving it. I went outside to see what had happened and the propane compartment was standing open and a piece of aluminum was on the ground (see attached pictures). There was damage to the trim piece that holds the slide out seals the rivets had been pulled out.

I took it to the nearest dealer not Thor and the say they can't fix it and Thor says it's not under warranty. I have an extended warranty but am not sure if they will cover.

It looks like the slide will need to be pulled to reattach the bracket.

Pictures didn't come through but it sounds like a pretty big issue. One major advantage you have is living so close to the Factory Service Center. I would call CS and set up an appointment with them. The labor rate is only $100 per hour and they know the coach better than any dealer...plus, they have everything on hand with no major waiting as in most dealer repairs. My experience there was outstanding!

Why don't you know if the xtended warranty will cover it?

Retry on the pictures.

The dealer I took it to said the extended warranty might not cover it.

I'm trying to get into the factory service center the reviews are mostly great.

We have a 2019 Miramar and have had problems with both slide outs within our first year of ownership and unfortunately while traveling. We ended up making an appointment for the second repair with Thor’s service center and it was the best decision we could have made. The repairs were handled efficiently and we were able to camp overnight while they worked on the repairs right at their service center. Much better than any dealer could have done.

I know GOod Sam extended warranty covers slides and slide mechanisms.
