Spray for slideouts

Was wondering what people use for their slideouts. I have both silicone wet spray and CW dry slideout spray. This rig brand new . Is it wise to spray now or wait a while. The dry spray is brownish and kind of sticky. Thanks in advance

Been using this on my slides, jacks, hinges, door locks, anything that's supposed to move freely & have had no issues in past 5 years. It's readily available at most auto parts stores & I usually pick it up at Wal-Mart. Scwintech video recommended CRC silicone spray, this has the same ingredient (Teflon) for about a 3rd of the price & much easier to find.
Just FYI, the factory warranty techs also recommend Pledge furniture polish to clean/treat all the seals throughout your rv, dirt doesn't stick to it & again is much cheaper than rv seal treatment from a rv dealer. I actually use the imitation Pledge from the dollar store.
One word of caution DO NOT use regular WD40 on anything but rusted bolts, they do make silicone spray which good, but the regular is very bad on rubber & it's a great dirt magnet.

We was told to use nothing other than soap and water to clean all seals.
CW gurus told us anything else and there would be no coverage of replacement for any all seals should we occur seal damage.
They did mention a lub we could use on the rollers only. However, I forgot what it is.

The product for lubricating and preserving the rubber seal is not the same product needed for lubricating the moving parts. Also if the slide moves in and out on wear pads instead of rollers you'll want to lubricate the bottom fabric with a PTFE type lubrication like CRC, Zep 45, and others.

CRC Heavy Duty Silicone is good for the rubber, etc. and CRC Extreme Duty for the Slide mech . is what many use ..

Yes, the Thetford product I mentioned is for the rubber slide seals... not internal moving parts. By the way, I thought there was something recently posted from Schwintek advising not to spray lubricant anymore?

I was told to use talc on the rubber seal and nothing on the gear(s). Dust a sock on a stick and just run it along the rubber seal. Seems to work and not have the rubber stick to the surface. Not sure if I want to use anything on the slide gears as we do a lot of dry camping and could see dirt building up and then wearing things out and making noise.

If using the silicone spray dirt/dust doesn't stick to it & in my opinion more wear would occur operating metal to metal than with some type of lubrication.

Tech at dealer told me to only use CRC on the slides, but to spray a single line along the length of the tracks, then run the slide in and out twice, which would transfer the lube to the rollers. He really emphasized using only CRC, which interestingly smells like peppermint.

I use protect all on the slide seals sparingly.
