No one here (other than third party quotes from an uneducated dealer employed r&r parts cannon artist) said they were unrepairable nor they take more than a single wrench used on a bolt head to seperate, move a tooth or two and retighten.
I think the conclusion is it's a 10 minute fix.

Am I misreading the posts? I was about to sit on cold concrete and take a look, just for looks sake, but if you're right and it is irreparable(which, I think in French means:absolutely unbreakable) you've saved me the effort.

It’s easy to adjust but there are only about 36 splines (I think....) on the steering box input shaft so the adjustment is rather coarse with 10 degree increments. The official Ford approved adjustment is to unbolt the steering box from the frame and shim it over a bit. If you need perfection that is what you’ll have to do. It doesn’t look all that difficult but the coarse adjust will get you within 5 degrees and that’s certainly close enough for me.

Did you have a steering stabilizer put on? That is how they are if the stabilizer is not adjusted correctly. It’s an easy DIY adjustment if this is your problem. If you don’t have one then it’s likely a simple alignment issue. I’d recommend a truck shop or a Ford truck dealer rather than an RV shop. Probably $125 - 200 depending on the needed adjustment.

I wanted to close the loop on this. Sorry for the delay, it was a minute until I got my RV back from the shop then another minute to wait for appointment at my local Ford fleet center. Alignment did the trick for all issues reported as I am sure you had figured. Appreciate the help!
