Stingy Thor

Asked Thor customer service several time for a series of drawings for my 2016 Majestic to no avail. No reply from them at all even when I pared down the list to 2 questions : where is the external CATV hookup, and where are the low point drains and the drain for the FW tank.
Other people here.seem to get a.quick response but for me it's nada.

Welcome to the site.

Have you tried logging into Thor's owner's resources page with your VIN and simply download all the diagrams??

Attitude plays a large part.

The cable attachment looks like every other one in the world.

The low point and drain are found with even a cursory look.
Did you look for either of the things you asked for?
When they did the pdi, did you take notes?

If you fill us in on your questions, we'll likely answer them.

I've asked for several things from Thor through their customer portal website. They have always responded very quick and with any documents I've asked for. I did download everything specific to my coach and always state in my email it was not available to download.

Calling customer service is the best way to get anything. Their email service has had some issues

Since the Majestic was built for a specific buyer and not offered to the general public they may not maintain all the drawings or provide them to the general public. You might ask the company that sold you the RV those questions. You did, after all, buy a prior rental and Thor is not obligated to provide you with support.

Thor and email requests don't compute. The owners portal works for some folks but it doesn't for me. Calling is the best route.

On our Aria the CATV jack is in the top of the shore power cord compartment. We had a hard time finding it ourselves.

I have been very happy with Thor's customer service responsiveness. I have used e-mail very successfully..... that is until recently. I have also not been able to get a live person..... have had to leave my name and number.

My messages about a date for a trip to Wakarusa for warranty work by the Thor Factory Service Center have gone unanswered.

Then last Thursday during a trip our propane regulator started leaking. I sent Customer Service an e-mail with video showing soapy water bubbling off the regulator. I asked them to ship me a replacement right away. I have not gotten a response from them yet.

I ended up buying a better propane regulator than Thor uses but I still want a replacement so I can have it as a spare.

Not sure if COVID is causing the drop in responsiveness or the the increased sales have overwhelmed them. With lots of new rigs being sold and marginal quality, that means lots of more e-mails and calls to Customer Service.

Thanks for the replies.
As someone noted the coach is an ex-cruise America unit.Thor did respond that the info was proprietary and not available to the general public.
Note that we do not have the physical unit yet it's still being prepped.
I was just trying to get ahead of the curve with some information not available for download from the site.

You might ask whom you purchased the rig from if they could provide the PDF drawing to you.

I have found the only way to get drawings is to speak with someone. They will email you while on the phone. I have found email requests for this kind of stuff goes unanswered.

Hello,
On my 2017 19g, the CATV hookup is in the shore power plug hatch, on the right side. I had to flip open a cover to access it. You hook up inside on the left side of the loft - there is a 110v plug and the CATV hookup on the side of the upper storage cabinet. I have not tested this yet to see if it works.

The fresh water tank is under the dinette seat that is behind the drivers seat. Mine has a ball valve under the tank to drain it.

Hope this helps?

Bill

I was just trying to get ahead of the curve with some information not available for download from the site.

It’s been years since my latest rental, but Cruise America motorhomes and one trailer I’ve rented in the past did not come equipped with a TV, and when I brought along my own, could not find a cable hookup anywhere. On their rental motorhomes I just stuck cable through front door.

That may have changed more recently, but I know Cruise America keeps RVs as simple as possible for renters to use more easily. The ones I’ve rented had no awnings or slides, etc. In many ways I appreciated the simplicity.

Good luck with purchase. I’m curious which model you're buying.
