Wifi hotspot
I'm looking for ideas on wifi hotspot for my MH.
It's confusing and expensive for the data packages

What are your data needs ? And where do you need it?
I use 3 different providers to compensate for "dark " ares where 1 provider might not work.
I use my S7 Verizon as a hotspot for the majority of my work ( old unlimited dataplan ) ($130) then my wife has a 6 GB ATT hotspot on her Iphone 6 ( with 6 GB carry over data and network management after max data is allowed ).( $90) And we also have a T-mobile hotspot with 6G high speed and BINGO ON with 20 GB stash data ( $30)
Since ATT also returned their unlimited tablet plans we signed my wife's Ipad pro up for $30 ( network managed after 20 GB )

We were on a Verizon package but have a different carrier for our home wifi. I increased my package to 8g before we left for summer travels thinking I could stay ahead of the game. First month on the road my plan was working and I had 14g starting out. Then last week lost all my carry-over data! Guess I didn't read the fine print. Verizon will let you carry over but just one month. Now we are struggling to get by on 8g per month.

If you can get an unlimited ATT plan you could get a HDMI adapter to use that t watch TV if thats where your data goes. Not sure what your use is but I use about 200 to 300 MB a day for work. The majority we use is for streaming video

t-mobile doesnt have the same coverage as verizon or att. if you stay in an area with coverage it might be good otherwise unlimited data is useless with limited coverage

It is almost unlimited. After a certain amount of data they slow you down to a crawl! I have that, and watched a few movies with it. After about five movies, I got a message that the data will be reduced now!

ATT has a 20 GB "unlimited" too but they dont slow you down unless its a congested tower. The term they use is NETWORK MANAGED. If you visit RVMOBILEINTERNET.COM they have a lot of useful information/comparison and data there

Who knows anything about the ATT ZTE Mobley LTE wifi ? I'm told you plug it in to your MH onboard computer port under the dash and for $20 per month you have unlimited wifi ?? Does this really work?

OP:
As you'll note there are many and varying ideas all of which have merit. Unfortunately mobile Internet is not a one size fits all or all locations. Many of us rely on an arsenal or the Swiss army knife approach.
https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/ is a good site to familiarize yourself with some of the terms, components, providers, available options. It's cutting edge info. (crib notes) plus Moore's law is holding true, everything in technology is changing rapidly, and you can throw a bunch of money at it.
Best of luck

I have had my ZTE mobley for about 4 months while full-timing. It works as advertised. I bought the custom power supply from Amazon so I could use it anywhere. I link it to DirectV HR-44 receiver through the wireless DECA. Since I subscribe to DirectV, there is no charge for streaming DirectV "on-demand" content or watching DirectV. I have never had a throttling problem.

AT&T now has the ZTE Mobley back in stock and are offering the unit for free at $20/month with a 2 yr contract!
You can also get the Mobley without a contract for the same monthly cost but you pay $99 for the unit itself!
