Is your fresh water tank under the bed? Lots of connectors there.

More specifically, what model Chateau?

And welcome to the Forum all the way from New Zealand.

If you could get a picture as well that would be helpful. I am sure one of us have had the same problem and that would help get you the correct information

Fresh water tank is under the bed at the bottom end but the damp is coming in from the top end of the bed slide.

yes the fresh water tank is at the bottom end of the bed but the moisture is showing on the ply at the top end of the bed, the slide out end. Under the slidout outside is always dry. I'm not sure how to insert a picture for you to see. Thanks

Like most anything computer or electronic related now-a-days you are magically supposed to know how to operate it out of the box and know exactly what all those funny looking pictures do.

In reality, this forum is based on the same forum software platform as a large majority of other forums so documentation is readily available on the Interwebs for the software, but it isn't specific to this particular forum so it is easy to get lost. But that's what questions are for.

To answer your specific question about picture insertion: there are two ways to add pictures to a post, both require your post editor to be in "Advanced Mode". You can setup your profile to always open the editor in Advanced Mode, or you can just click the "Go Advanced" button:

Once in Advance Mode you can insert a picture located on a publicly accessible location on the Internet using the Picture Icon:

This will open a pop-up window where you can paste the picture's location such as for the above picture.

The other method is to attach one or more pictures to the post from a location on your PC using the Attach Icon:

This will open a pop-up window which allows you to attach and upload files from your PC. These pictures will appear as attachments at the end of your post UNLESS:

You position the cursor in your post where you want the photo to be
You click the Paper Clip again to Manage Attachments

Do you have a storage compartment on that side? When we bought our Chateau 24F - new in fall of 2019 - I discovered some mold on the plywood bed platform, under the mattress near the wall.

Turns out the "high side" storage compartment was left partially open sitting on the dealer lot. Water entered the storage compartment and migrated under the wall. Dealer replaced everything I instructed them to... anything that possibly could have gotten wet. The wall by the bed, bed platform, and part of the interior wall in the storage, and of course the mattress. No issues in 2 1/2 years.

Check your storage compartment rubber seals. I use a product called 303 Aerospace Protectant to keep the seals conditioned. Motorhome water damage can rear it's ugly head far into the future... with mold, mildew and dreaded rot.

Moisture Under Bedroom Slide

Not sure what you mean by "under" the slide. But if your slide out floor is plywood and you smell mildew or see discoloration in the plywood or see water on the floor when you extract the slide, you could have the problem I had on my class A where water was seeping into the plywood from deteriorated sealant applied to slide's outer trim strips. It was not coming from the roof or a tank. It's a subtle but common RV problem.

Water leaks through the joints in the trim strips and seeps in around the screws that secure the trim strips to the bottom of the slide. I had to replace the floor because it rotted out after about four years. See the attached photo of my slide trim strips. I now reapply the clear sealant to all the joints of the strips where they contact the slide's outer wall and I do it yearly.

This just happened to me with my Chateau. What happened was we had a down pour and the rv was parked on angle where the slide side was up. Rain seeped between gaskets and followed the track into the rv.
