I upgraded from an ME2012 to an MS2812 as well. Some of the inverter and battery settings are configurable with the Firefly system...but, depending on your Firefly programming, your results may be different than mine. Both my previous 4.3" B&W and my current 7" color screens allow me to configure inverter voltage cutoffs, charge rates, battery chemistry and battery capacity. If you want to be able to control all of the configuration settings on the Magnum Energy Inverters, then you will need the ME-ARC (ME-ARC50) remote. You can hook up the ME-ARC in your electronics bay to the inverter's remote port. You may have to disconnect the RVC-Bridge while doing this. Complete your configurations and then reconnect the RVC-Bridge so that the Firefly system can still control the Inverter. Your applied settings to the inverter from the ME-ARC will be preserved.

It depends on the model you have. In 2018 we Bought a new Challenger 37 LX and the dealer never mentioned that we could have a modem installed. Needless to say 3 months later I called Firefly and was advised earlier models used Bluetooth, the newest is wifi, the issue I have is simple. It’s called money, nickel and dime you to death, for $500 you can buy the model. Nice, don’t offer it with the Rig, don’t put it in the brochure. Sorry I am venting. Mine uses a Crestron home automation controller. That said Firefly wrote their own firmware for The Crestron board.”it is a home automation controller for residential and commercial applications.”. I have decided to live without the remote, when i need to put the awning out I use the switch by the door that I unscrewed from the wall and put velcro on it so I can grab it to Tupac the awning out or turn the porch lights on or basement lights. Original question, depending on the year call firefly it could be wifi or Bluetooth. As far as the backlighting issue, remember these are button cell batteries inside the switches and if backlit you’d be replacing the batteries every few months instead of years. Enjoy.

I know I sound like the drunk in the corner that just woke up. I love the fact they control functions from multiple locations but getting tired of using a flashlight to turn on the lights. If there's a link or owners manual for this system, please post it. Thanks!!
The master panel in our unit will give you the battery status - check that once in a while so you are not caught off guard.

I haven't been following this thread after the op post
So
Forgive me a bit.

Does the op still have the original dark units?
I don't want to spend a lot on them, but I'd buy them to play with and try to interface into some things.

Late model units use typical non colored grey scale to indicate non-selected, while a color like orange in these photos, is indicated when a function is selected on. Toggle between on and off by tapping the desired function and watch for a color change. It may take a few seconds for systems to either start or shut down after the selection has been made, due to system protection functions.

Light Sub panels not working

We have a 2018 Thor Aria 3901. We have replaced all the batteries in the sub panels yet the main panel says the batteries are all still dead, and they won’t sync. Anyone know how to fix this?

On mine I go to the settings page, there is a symbol for each switch. I press and hold the symbol and it will walk you through the pairing process. From memory I think once in pairing mode all you do is press two buttons.

I wish there was an Alexa Mira app.

"Alexa, ask Mira to turn of all the lights"

I asked them and they said they have no plans for it.

Well today I broke down my campsite. Pulled in the slide , unplugged the AC power and drove home.
Back in to my parking place and NO Power to the firefly system. Checked all the fuses and circuit breakers and all ok. Have 12v to items like the kitchen ceiling fan and other 12v items but can’t turn on the AC, lights or open the slide. Tried to check the controller but it is under the bed in the master bedroom and I cannot get the bed mattress out because the slide is in. Called firefly and Leon called me back abs advised I must check the voltage at the G9 controller underneath the bed.
Has anyone else just had the firefly system shut down like this? If so what was wrong? I’m hoping it is just a connection.

Well this is an update as to what happened. Finally had a friend come over and we were able to remove the mattress. Opened the cover of the electric connectors and found the main 12v wire had come loose from the crimped end. The end was not crimped correctly at the factory. Re crimped the connector and wa la 12v power again. FYI all the rocking and rolling does loosen EVERYTHING in the coach. Happy Glamping

Aria AC problem

Has anyone had this problem, I get an error code on the main firefly control panel, it reads Error on temp sensor, and there is no temperature reading on the room, so the Air unit will not come on. Then sometimes when you look at it, it reads some crazy temperature like -60 degrees or minus 8 degrees, or other readings. After a while of this, the sensor will give a correct reading of the room and the AC will come on. One night only the fan would run.
I am wondering if this is a software problem. Has any one heard of this before and how do you fix it?

Try this procedure: reboot the system.
1. Unplug all shore power.
2. Turn off use/store switch.
3. Let sit at least 5 minutes.
4. Then plug in the shore power.
This should restart everything.
If the 12v does not come on then turn ON the Use store switch to use.
This should clear the firefly system.

We're 4yrs full-time with fire fly system we like it but wish we could purchase a small single remote wall panel for bathroom light only, could put it outside of bathroom on wall near door, easy to find and use in the dark.

Do you have a smartphone? Does your firefly have the Bluetooth Mira? If so get the app.

Yes I have the app and it's great I would just like the single light only wall switch for bathroom wall.

I purchased the clear stick on bumper buttons from Amazon.com
272PCS Clear Adhesive Cabinet Door Drawer Bumpers Sound Dampening Rubber Silicone Feet Bumper Pads for Picture Frame Drawer Glass Tops Cutting Board

I stuck them on my main lights. Bathroom, living room, bedroom. Work great just touch and push. They stick on.

Wow, great idea! My wife and I were trying to figure some way to find the light switch in the dark. You folks are the best.

Cheers!
