Use/Store switch not shutting off?

Hey all, I was out looking for something in the MH today and turned the Use rocker swith on so I could have lights in the coach. When I was done went to turn the switch to store position and there was no audible click. Tried the living room light switch and the lights came on. I tried several more times to turn the switch off to the Store position still no click and the coach lights stayed on.
Is there a fuse somewhere that could be blown, or is the relay disconnect gone bad?

Are you plugged into shore power. That would power the lights even if the USE/STORE switch was in STORE.

There is a 5amp in line fuse at the relay. No click = blown fuse.

Follow the battery cables. Relay is in many different places depending on model. Mine is under the bed.

The latching relay is under the bed in the corner next to the power center. Power wires often vibrate loose and fuse blows, so it is not necessarily bad. The replacements can be purchased in Amazon.

No, the MH is parked next to my house and not on shore power.
Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the tips on the inline fuse!

Thanks all for the tips on a fuse issue with my relay switch. I will research where the switch is located on my ACE.

Store/Use Switch not working

I have the issue of the store/use switch not working also. I can hear the relay clicking but the lights will not turn off. I have yet to check the fuse but from the other posts, if you hear the clicking of the relay, the fuse is good. Have to verify that next. If fuse is good, what other suggestions do you all have? Relay bad? Disconnected wiring? It did work at one time but checked this weekend and it is not disconnecting. TIA

When you say "lights" I assume you mean the interior illumination lights in the overhead?

Those lights will stay on (if switched on) whenever one of three things is powering the DC Buss:

The converter when attached to shore power or the generator is running.
The HOUSE batteries when the USE/STORE relay is in the USE position.
The CHASSIS battery if the cross-connect relay is in the cross-connect position.

So besides a failure in the USE/STORE relay/circuit what you are seeing may also be causes by a failure in the BIRD/BIM/Cross-connect circuit/relay.

I would start by unplugging from SP and lifting the battery leads first from the house batteries, then from the chassis battery to determine where the 12 VDC is coming from.

Yes, I am disconnected from shore power. Nothing has changed with the batteries since last time the switch was working, so, it has to be in the switch circuitry. At lease that is my uneducated quess!!

In my case it was the latching relay. All the fuses were good, and I could hear it clicking when I operated the switch, but it would not stay latched. I replaced the relay and it's all good now.

This was the proper replacement part for my 2018 Chateau. The relay will have a part number on it (e.g. LR9806T1-BIP), so check yours and make sure you order the right one.
